Fnp 40 trigger slap

My trigger finger is sore as hell now. Seems my finger was slipping off the trigger and hitting the trigger guard while I was shooting. Any one else have this problem? I didn't have this problem when I test fired it few months ago. So it must be my grip?

Check you're trigger finger - how much finger do you use on it? I have never dropped a trigger in over 40 years of shooting.

Same here, never dropped a trigger or had trigger slap. I did have a slightly calious finger from a G23 target trigger once. I guess my advise to the OP would be to slow down your shots and pull straight back, practice makes better.

Not sure if I explained it very well. Basically the trigger guard slamming into the under side of my finger. :thumbdown: either way it sucked .

Yeah I must of been holding it weird. Was trying to do the magpul way. Oh well. I'm going to stipple the grip tonight. Didn't like how it was kinda slippery.

Try some of the stick on grips first. Rough stipled grips are a little to rough for me. Ive been using rubber Decal Grips on my XD and love them.
