Glock magazine questions

I just pick-up my first Glock, a G20. I bought a magazine rebuild kit, and was wondering the best way to reduce the capacity to 10 rounds? Also, how do disassemble the 10 round magazines? I have no problem assembling and disassembling the 15 round magazine, but I can't seem to disassemble the 10 round mag. Are the 10 round mags permanently sealed?

I can't even get it using channel locks or c-clamps. Also, the hole in the plate doesn't push-in like the 15 round mag.

They disassemble the same way, so keep trying. Also, try leaving them loaded for a week or 3, the springs are tight in the 10 rounders. Over time, you should have no problem loading and shooting with 10+1.

The only way to make a 10/15 etc Glock mag, is to make or buy blocks/inserts. I think a member here, Zachs300zx, makes blocks for the XDm's, so maybe he could make some for you. The only problem, is that it needs to be permanently fixed. You'll either have to epoxy the block to the spring, or epoxy the floorplate. If you epoxy the floorplate, you won't be able to disassemble it anymore. I'd just save it for out of state use, or wait until the ban is lifted.
