Something interesting about the DOJ list...

I cannot believe this crap... but...

Apparently only one firearm is on the list for items recently added.

In the last year, we have three whole pages of firearms dropped from legal sale.

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

This comes up as I'm trying to find a decent, cheap revolver for my mom.

This is sad indeed. With my luck, everything on that list was all stuff I needed!

Now where is that roster challenge... I know I put it around here somewhere. (don’t give up hope)

Luck has nothing to do with it. You need every gun on that list. No question.

i think that is the point of the list. they plan on having guns fall off the list, so in a way we have a handgun ban in CA. by the time the roster is killed there will not be many guns left on it

The removed list should be viewed as tax dollars lost, since we can not buy them.

Last week in Tucson I bought a Beretta BU9 (Nano) and yesterday I put a hefty deposit on a NIB Kahr MK9 elite.

Two handguns that probably will never make that stupid California DOJ approved list.

What I don't understand is how they justify the list, since a handgun which has passed has passed. How can it become "unsafe" if it has already been deemed safe? Did they change the standards? Did they change the gun? Once it makes it, it makes it.

Try the LCR .357/.38spl, surprisingly it was added to the roster this summer.

Think of it more as an extortion list.

Yes, you are getting it! They don't want you to have arms... Yes you are seeing it, right before you. Please all are reading this, contact your local C3 Calguns leaders/SAF (Second Amendment Foundation/Madison Society/ NRA and help with the fight! They ARE taking our childrens freedoms from them.

It's unsafe because the manufacturer hasn't paid up.

You noticed the dates but failed to notice something else. They don't keep a years worth of recently added guns on the recently added list. It's literally what has been added in the past few weeks.

A number of models on the removed list(that goes back to 2001), are in groups because companies declined to keep them on the roster for whatever reason. Examples would be the beretta neos series(likely due to low sales volume), or other companies simply not continuing to pay to keep discontinued models on the list(why would they?) after distributor inventory has been cleared out and not wanting to pay renewal fees. Of course not all of the replacements for those discontinued models can be added to the list if they're missing a mag disconnect and loaded chamber indicator.

Shows you how stupid the our state .gov is. Instead of collection sales tax from an endless amount of gun sales from thousands of manufacturers, they'd rather collect it from a few while telling us were safe. The guns on the list must somehow magically only be used to shoot the bad guys or something.

Not yet. Although I suspect that when one of the bigger manufacturers finds all of it's current 1911's not on the roster even though their old discontinued were on the list, they might throw a fit then(since they can't add new 1911's to it).
