    CZ75B Way off Target

    Hey Guys,

I went to the range to test my new CZ75B. Its odd because my shooting is always like 6 to 8 inches below my intended target and about 4 - 6 inches to the left. My target is about 25 feet away.

I put in like 120 rounds using American Eagle Leadless 115gr. I understand that this is a fix front and rear sight (or am I correct?).

Do I have to use a 124gr or greater? a different ammo? What do you guys suggests?

    thanks.

Have you put it in the hands of a well qualified shooter to eliminate the possibility of user error?

          The infamous "Low and Left"....
Anticipation of muzzle flip + jerking the trigger

If this is not occurring with other handguns you're shooting, then adjust the sights

Try using the first joint of your trigger finger instead of the pad. You should also practice dry firing without disturbing the sights.

No, I haven't. I have the feeling that it is me. I brought also with me a GSG1911 with better accuracy. But then, the recoil between these two guns are way different.

Also, I have tried using a rental gun from the range before and I am hitting the target better than this.

Well the stock DA pull on a CZ has a steeper learning curve than pistols that are striker fired or Single Action only, like your GSG. On the GSG, you will use the pad of your finger instead of the first joint. I would cut out a piece of a foam earplug, put it in front of the firing pin where the hammer would hit it. Then dry fire the gun without disturbing the sights until your hands get sore. Then do that everyday until you go to the range again. I promise you, your aim will be better.

I used to do the whole "low and left" with my glock.

Trigger time and proper trigger pull/grip will cure it.

Is this only on your first shot, or are you doing it in SA mode also.

Stock CZ DA pull is pretty ugly untill you work it in. Even the SA has a bit of camming which can lead to it.

Bench rest the gun and see if its still happening.

I sure do hope that its me and not the gun. Yes, its also doing in the SA mode. Well, time to get more practice first.

                      thanks

If your problem really is with the DA trigger, consider getting a 9mm snapcap to dryfire with? It's helped me practice the DA trigger on my Walther P1.

Thanks, I'll consider the snap cap.

This is not the gun. You need to sand bag it and take one shot in SA mode and you will see it's not the gun. Shoot it from a rest until you learn how to hold the gun and squeeze the trigger and when you feel your getting good do the same without a rest.

CZ's are among the easiest guns to shoot well. You need lots of practise!!!
