I really like this CW9. The trigger took some getting used to but I can properly shoot it now. Only downside to it was that at first the mags would not drop free, now that it's getting closer to it's break it period the mags are dropping free. Maybe this was part of the break in period?

Not in San Mateo County but in Fresno, Tulare, Madera and Kings a CCW permit is very possible.

My mags also don't drop free.

I don't mind the trigger pull and think it breaks nice and clean after the take up. Took a few rounds to get used to "dotting the i sights", moving from point of aim to impact.

And my mags also do not drop free which is my only real complaint. Hopefully that changes, but I'm at about 500 through it so far and they don't fall.

And you can also readily apply for carry in Placer, El Do, and Sac counties. CW9 is a great deal for CCW. Glock 19 for bedside and cold weather carry, IMHO.

          Get a CW9 and don't worry

Instead of waiting for the LC9 to improve, get a CW9. Great deal if you're in the $375 price range. Mine is AMAZINGLY accurate probably because it is such a soft shooter. The CW9 trigger pull has some take up before it breaks, but that's appropriate for a full DAO striker style. I've been very very impressed with the Kahr. I wanted the diamond black finished P9, but a smoking deal on a CW9 with extra mags and a front night sight came up on CG. Quickly replacing my J-frame in the rotation.

Bought an LC9, couldn't even GROUP at 7 yards, much less aim at what I wanted to hit. It just flat out wasn't the gun for me. I sold it in less than 150 rounds and got a CW9. As soon as I got the CW9, I took it to the 25 yard range and was hitting 9 ring all day at a fairly rapid succession. I wouldn't hesitate to get the Kahr. Palmetto and buds has them for a really reasonable price too.
