    Springfield Armory Value?

I have serched on-line for a couple hours and can't seem to find the exact gun I have; making it difficult to come up with a fair value.
It says COMPACT CAL .45 on one side and the logo and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY on the other. ItS A 1911, has a 4" barrel, and is satin stainless. Sorry I can't get pics from my un-smart phone to the PC.

Used, no more than $900 on a good day.

    It has no collector value.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

I think the compacts (officers/compact frame + "4 barrel)? were discontinued in the early '90's.

They have the ultra-compact and champion now, and both loaded stainless version retail for a little over 1k at msrp, or any springfield loaded model.
If yous have the same loaded features (beavertail, sights, long trigger, etc.) I would price somewhere there also, so:
new retail (accounting for inflation) = 1k
used = free market: up, down : up to you.

Gotta agree not a collector item, unless it's the trp-compact
