I was wondering if there was a difference between .45 Auto and .45 ACP. I don't know what ACP means, I would guess Auto Copper Plated which would make a .45 Auto FMJ the same as a .45 ACP, but I have no idea really.

Nope, no difference. Just realize though that there is a difference between .45 ACP and .45 GAPStay safe,

Also, don't confuse .45 Colt with .45 ACP. They both have "colt" in their names, but they are not the same round!

Also, don't confuse it with .45 Auto Rim... which is a .45 ACP with a rim for use in the few revolvers designed to use .45 ACP with a moon or half moon clip. ; )Comment

.45 ammo is almost twice as much for me than 9mm (i dont bother to reload anymore) but i love shooing my Colt 1911.. its the most accurate pistol I have to date..Comment
