    $399 for Ruger SR-series....

Just wondering...is $399 a good price for the Ruger SR-series of pistols?

Wild Sports is selling the following models for $399.97:

    SR9 blue
    SR9 s/s
    SR9C blue
    SR9C s/s
    SR40 blue
    SR40 s/s
    SR40C blue
    SR40C S/S

    All $399.97.

    I handled the SR40C s/s version....and I really liked it.

Any comments on this pistol? Good price?

Bah. I was wondering who was selling Ruger SR1911s for $399.

              This thread does not deliver.

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

SR-series (not counting 1911, that's SR-1911) are great, as long as you don't pay $450 or more for one. $425 for my sr9c plus extras (used).

I was handling the sr9c at p2k yesterday.... I only got to dry fire it but I was really impressed with the trigger break... I want to rent one and see how it groups for me. the salesman told me it was a pos and I should buy a xd. he went on and on about how much better the xd trigger was. it really didn't feel better to me though.

i tried the SR9C trigger and it isn't too bad; although it seems to have more travel than the SR40C.

I really liked the SR40C.......and at $399 (that's their regular price, btw) i really want one.

I paid $409 for mine. 399 to 429 seems to be the going range. They are nice guns. The 9 is one of the few that my wife is comfortable with. The reversible backstrap makes it nice too.

Ha ha, lol. I was there yesterday for their "truck sale". Some okay prices. They always whore out the XD's because the rep is there giving them good prices.

Sarah, an asst manager there, recommended the SR9 to me last week when I was there. After shooting it a couple times, I was a believer. Hope to pick one up after the holidays.

If by otd you mean out their door into your local FFL's then yes. 429 local is cheaper than buds.
