    Glock workx g34/g17 mods??

I played with a glock work g34 today. It felt awesome. But obviously expensive.

    Who has one? Thoughts?
Is it (sorta)like shooting my sig 226 x5?

It made me want a lightened g34 with mag well, stipple, trigger etc.
Maybe a slightly modded g17 also.

    Any advice or opinions??

    Thanks

You want it for shooting competition or just to be cool? By the way, Glocks are not expensive, but STI Open Guns can be....

Glocks are like legos, you can easily change every part on them to your liking. I have five of them including the G34 and have a standard list of mods that I perform. The factory sights and triggers suck so they're the first to go. I use the Glockworx in the ones that I shoot the most, dramatically lighter break with a nice short reset. Vanek is another option for the drop-in triggers but I've never tried them. The $.25 trigger job doesn't cut it for me. Next to go are the stock barrels because its easier to resize the brass from the aftermarkets. I've used Storm Lake, Lone Wolf, and KKM without any compromise to reliability. Finally, I lighten the springs for my reloads.

The only thing the G34 provides is an extra inch to the sight radius which IMO is a huge advantage in shooting for accuracy. The extended controls, mag and slide release, can be added to any glock for cheap. Glocks in itself are not really expensive but adding all the other bells and whistles that you mention will quickly double the cost. 1911's on the other hand can get expensive
