Sorry - traveling for the holidays combined with holiday prep caused a delay. I installed the new hammer, guide rod, and recoil spring last night. Haven't been able to take it out to shoot yet. It feels like trigger reset is quite a bit shorter, no clue on recoil reduction yet though until I can get to the range. I also removed the magazine disconnect. I think I need to tear it apart again though and put some grease in there though - the trigger spring is making noises it didn't make before. Really glad I got the hammer roll pin with my order as it was a bugger to put in and I had no real easy way I could see to get the old one out of the original hammer. Aside from that though, it was a painless modification. Further review after a trip to the range, which will likely be after the new trigger bar arrives as well.

I personally wouldn't do it to mine as I CCW my LC9 and I want it bone stock.

In my county the issuing authority will not allow any mods AFTER they inspect the gun. Before is OK, provided they feel it's safe. I may do this to mine before inspection, if I decide to get a CCW.

Thanks for the update. I just had to ask i knew it was the holidays. I havn't got the change to hit the range either. Its the next thing to do after my time free ups. But happy holidays im looking forward to your review.

Sorry...iwas trying to wait until I had a range trip to get a full report to everyone, but life keeps getting in the way. Brief recap (sorry, neglected to do pics or video). I have removed the magazine disconnect (immediately a 100% better gun IMHO), put in the new stronger recoil spring and recoil guide rod (no feedback other than they fit fine and look great until I can get to the range), installed the new hammer, and installed the new trigger guide rod. The last two had the most effect. The new hammer went in smoothly, but I will admit in large part because I went ahead and got the new hammer roll pin. I didn't have an easy way to get the original pin out, and putting in the new pin was a bit of a bugger, but it did go in. The new hammer shave about 1/2" off the second reset. Next up was the new "early break" trigger bar. Mine required some minor fitting - when I installed it, I could not get the trigger to reach the second reset without pushing down on the hammer (while the slide was off), and after installing the slide it didn't function at all. Eric at Galloway was very helpful and had me file a minute amount off the front of a tab that engaged the hammer and firing pin safety in order to allow for that second reset to be obtained. Once that was accomplished, the gun functioned with the slide on (took me three tries to get the appropriate amount of material removed), and virtually ALL the pre travel had been removed. I do not know that I would consider this an early break trigger bar as the break is still in the same spot, but the net result of the closer second reset and the elimination of the trigger pre travel results in a substantially shorter pull. The second reset is right on the edge of the end of travel for the trigger, but I am ok with that as the end result is a shorter pull overall. All that is missing now is the reduced power spring to lighten the pull and this will be one amazing gun. highly recommended! PLEASE NOTE Eric's disclaimer that the new trigger bar will ONLY work with the new hammer - if you leave the original hammer in with the new trigger bar, your trigger will be unable to reach the second reset, and it will NOT function.

Interesting post as I did like the LC9 as an accurate and dependable CC package, but I hated the long trigger pull, so I sold mine. I would like to try another LC9 to modify when Galloway gets the whole package together. IMHO, the Ruger LC9 could be a "best seller".
