Ruger Single Six Flatgate Old Model....Wow!

I feel like the luckiest guy on earth. I was very fortunate to have found a gentleman who didn't have a family member to leave his guns. I bought his revolver, a Ruger SS Flatgate 5.5" barrel.

This Ruger SS is one of the very first manufactured (shipped date August 1954 - Ruger provided me with this information in writing) with a serial number of #1995. Not only that, but it came with the original box, wrapping paper, black grips, manual, and several other items. This was his fathers gun and said it had not be shot since around 1960. The bluing and condition of this gun must be seen to appreciate. It looks NEW. No muzzle or cylinder wear. Just a super nice looking revolver.

Sorry about that. I forgot to mention it's in jail for a few more days.

Lucky man. Now remember to take care of it, cherish it and of course shoot it. And Pics when you get it.

Listen, when you get buyer's remorse, contact me and I'll take it off your hands for what you paid for it, so you'll not feel guilty about losing any money.....ok?
