Springfield Loaded Target 1911 sight replacement

Gentlemen..

I have a Springfield PI9134LP, and it has adjustable sights that I would like to replace. My problem has been finding a set that look like they will fit, as the rear sight cut is much smaller than a standard Novak?-style cut on most other 1911's. Any ideas based on personal experience? Im looking for tritium sights that are more conducive to carrying. Heres a pic (not my actual gun) and thanks in advance for any input.

thats not a Novak cut, that cut is for adjustable sights, you can now only use adjustable sights (which particular cut that is I have no idea)

Right, I currently have adjustable sights and cannot replace them with Novak, as the Novak is much bigger than the existing cut.

Have you ANY idea how hard the PI9134LP is to come by right now?

That said, is it the the sight itself that hinders carry, or the lack of tritium that bothers you?

To the OP: Springfields use the LPA cut a lot these days but I have seen a few with the Bomar cut. They look similar but are different.

You CAN actually find a fixed rear sight that will fit into a bomar/LPA style

You might want to check out Dawson Precision. They have just about any sight you would want, and their installation service is very reasonable.

actually, it would look goofy if you replaced it with a Novak sight...they do make fixed sights for those cuts, but if it were me, I'd keep adjustable sights in it...YMMV

Not sure what you are looking at but the sights linked to are FIXED and designed to be used with the Bomar / LPA and style cuts...Just like he said in his post. It is exactly what the OP asked for.

He does not want Novak style as they will not fit his slide as currently configured. He wants fixed sights for the LPA springfield cuts. Thats what the linked sights are.

I know, becuase I reccomended those same Harrision sights in my post. (Link to Brownells but the same sights)

I'd probably keep the adjustable sights also but it's not my gun...

It was my understanding he was talking about a Novak style on that current slide cut (someone mentioned that)...made me think "WTF?"

I know they made fixed sights to fit in a Bomar cut, I just don't see the point of having a slide cut for adjustable sights and sticking fixed sights on it...
