Can you reload .45GAP to factory ballistics?

Last I heard, in order to get 230 grains going just under the sound barrier out of a GAP case, they had to use a special powder that is unavailable to reloaders. What kind of loadings are you putting together?

I believe what some reloaders of the 45GAP are doing is using the small rifle primer to increase the charge.

The Glock 39 (45 GAP) is about 1/2" shorter in both lenght and height than the Glock 36 (45 ACP) so the 10th in the case doesn't directly relate to the gun size. The difference in the grip size and feel is significant when you hold the two in either the compact or full size guns.

If you don't like the calibler then don't shoot it, get over it.

The ACP and GAP have the same diameter so if the 39 is 1/2" shorter in height it could be the same size with the model 36.

To make it 1/2" shorter in length, cut the barrel 1/2". Barrel length is measured from the muzzle to the breechblock so all you could save with the GAP is that 1/10".

The only thing that affects the grip size is the 1/10" of length difference. Anything else done to the 39 could be done to the 36.

I've got nothing against the GAP except for people saying that it makes a lighter handier gun when the only difference is 1/10" of cartridge length.

Any caliber that is not being widely used by LE or military, will not gain the "poopular" factor. you will still be able to find them, just expensive.

The .45GAP has been adopted as the service caliber for four state law enforcement agencies.

Pennsylvannia State Police
South Carolina Highway Patrol

So, the .45GAP currently has 8% of the state LE market. That's way more than the 10mmAuto and .357SIG.
