    10mm CZ Clone

Saw an EAA Witness in .45 with wonder finish(don't ask me that's what they call it) at City Arms for ~$390. I'm kinda tempted after finding out there are a few conversion kits available ~$200.

    EAA Faq
    Steel frame 38super, 45acp, 10mm can be converted to: 9mm, 40sw, 38super, 45acp, 10mm or 22lr

I went and got the eaa wit. .45 3yrs ago because:

    1. because of retarded prk laws the 10mm was not on the list ( mainly because eaa corp didn't want to pay the testing fee for it since the 10mm isn't as popular as 9mm/40's/45acp so my plan was to do a 10mm conversion

    2. the price and performance wise was a hard to beat kinda deal (something like the savage rifles)

    3. it's main purpose is a hunting sidearm. more juice than .357mag in an auto pistol.

the eaa witness should serve you well though 390 is a bit on the high side. you should still be able to get a .45 in the steel version at about 350

another thing is the .45 witness can only be interchanged with .38super/10mm/22lr. because the magazine size is a bit wider than the 9mm/40 and I'm not sure if the slide would fit on the larger .45/10/38super frame

    10mm. Because .45ACP just doesn't cut it anymore. <Trailerparktrash>

That's the route I took to get a 10mm, besides my glock. If you buy the .45 EAA witness, you can add the 10mm conversion kit, but the only magazines are from EAA. The gun shoots well in both .45 and 10mm. If you do get the gun, I can loan you my 10mm slide and magazines at the range so you can try it out before
spending another $200 to find out 10mm isn't for you.

Thanks for the offer Dwtt . I already found out I like the 10mm. Can't decide if I really want another one ?

390 is a good price. All euopean handguns went up in price last year. Something about the value of the dollar being weak compared to the euro.

Sigs all went up a hundred bucks.

It's sooo tempting. That's why I posted it, hoping someone else buys it before I do .

That's awesome, sounds like a very versatile frame. I should look at getting one.

I always kick myself for not picking that EAA 10mm bout 4 or 5 years ago.

Didn't know you can get the 45 and then add a 10mm conversion.

Must resist. Too many guns already this month......

Does anyone sell the EAA guns in Sacramento or San Jose?

Fremont is close enough. I'm driving from Sac to San Jose tomorrow, so I could swing by and take a look

Which is not too bad. Expect more in the near future since the dollar has lost another 10-15% to other currencies this year alone and I seriously doubt it will regain that. My guesstimate is that it will drop at least another 10-20% before the end of the year.
