gp100 half lug or full

Hello all. So I got another email from grants for guns (local socal shop) listing there consignment guns. There was a gp100 ss 6" with a half lug. It was selling for 350 so I jumped on it. I have never shot the half lug but it seemed really light. Then again I only have the blackhawk in .357 so it is obvious I would feel the difference.
My question is what is the benifet of the half lug, also is the value higher or lower as is?

Oh and I'm selling my blackhawk as well...just invade someone is looking

I'm pretty sure they're mistaken, I've never seen a gp100 with a half lug, only the older security six's had half lugs and they were the predecessor to the gp100. I may be wrong though....

Half lug is lighter...... Thats all. Full lug is a bit heavier to soak up recoil. At $350 (assuming in good shape) its a great deal on a GP!

Half lug lighter of course.
Some like the balance better than full lug.
Some prefer the appearance.
In 4 and 6 inch I believe.
Relatively few half lug made/available
compared to full lug; of the 2 half lug GP100's
6 inch more common normally than the 4.
Perceived value may be elevated for half lug GP100.
I like my 6" SS version.

The half lug will be lighter and balance better. The full lug is muzzle heavy which helps with quick follow up shots. There are fewer half lug guns out there, I would consider it more desirable. At $350 you did well.
