    Looks to be a K-38 Target Masterpiece, the predecessor to the Model 14.

      +1 on the K-38. Also, the 3rd edition says it Pre 1955 because your pictures show it with the upper side plate screw.

            Probably 1955, production numbers 1955 go( K231256-K266164) the numbers on the butt and barrel shroud are the serial#,grips are incorrect. Pete

              Looks identical to my 1952 K-38 Masterpiece. The grips are replacements, I believe.
              My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

                  Thank you very much for all your help This revolver was my grandfathers reserve duty weapon for Montebello Police Department. Just out of curiosity sake, what would be the approximate value range of this gun?

                  I am never going to sell it, but My dad and I were curious. Thank you.
