    G21 and Intermittent FTF

Having a new issue with my G21, looking for some help as I think I covered the basic stuff.

Gun shoots well, just will fail to feed the last round in either mag, intermittently. I ran 8 mags through last night and I got 2 FTF on the last rounds. It happened once last time I shot, out of 10 mags through, so I chalked it up to the mag springs. They are from ~1993, so I replaced the springs. Problem persists. Until recently the gun ran flawlessly.

The gun was clean, so I don't know what else to check on the G - they are pretty simple. I was shooting bagged range ammo, but that should not matter - its a Glock, right? Should feed anything.

Could something have aged out on it? It was bought somewhere's around 1993 and I have lost track of how many rounds have been through it. Can't be toooooo many as I only have used it for range duty and desert plinking, + one or two classes?

Any ideas out there before I punt and pay a smith?

If you replaced the mag springs -

    99% it's the ammo.

Not even a Glock will eat ANY crappy ammo...

Did you clean and lube the gun?

Is the round nose diving onto the feed ramp on the last round?

a quick barrel snake and oil on the slide tracks. Admittedly, not my usually more thorough cleaning.

No. If anything, there was a scuff mark on one of the bullets on the top side. The other failure - no such mark.

Might need a new recoil spring.

Check. I'll try a new recoil spring - should be cheap enough.

              THanks all!
