    Springfield Range Officer

I have an opportunity to purchase a SA Range Officer. I just wanted to get some opinions from anyone that has one before I make this purchase. And also why is this gun not Kali approved?

I have no firsthand experience, but they've been getting very good reviews for their out-of-the-box accuracy on the Bullseye forums.

Because it doesn't have a "loaded chamber indicator" and a "magazine disconnect". To the geniuses in Suckramento, that makes it unsafe......

So - since it's not on the roster, I assume you are planning to buy it from a private party in California?

What kind of price are we talking? (Including SSE)

I have it. Absolutely love it. It shoots way better than I do or ever will.

Purely a base level target / competition gun with some good value adds... and a fairly decent one in the accuracy department from everything I have read.

SA does not recommend it for use in serious social situations.

Why? Because it has target sights? That sounds like SA wanting to make sure you buy more than 1 gun. Just because another model would be *better* doesn't mean this one wouldn't work. It would certainly be much better than NOT having a gun in a social situation...

Thanks for the feedbacks. I'm definitely gettin it now after doing some reading online. But it's gonna have to wait because I'll finally going to be able to start my Dros on my TRP Operator on the 19th. But I'm putting a deposit on the RO so that way nobody else can buy it. Unless my wife can pass her HSC test today and she can buy it. We'll see.

The RO will be a downgrade from the TRP but if you want it, then yeah get it. If you have the TRP, why not spend your money on something else???

Kinda like the Range Officer. I guess it's something different and also to have a variety when we go shooting. It'll be my 3rd SA hangdun in 3months unless my wife buys it. Already have the XDM. after the RO I'll be lookkng at something else.
