Should I buy New Sig sp2022 .40 night sights one extra mag for 579$ or go with used Sig p229 .40 with night sights sig short trigger 3 mags 400 rounds through it for 675$? Need help don't know what to do!

I would go with the 229. The platform was built for the .40. Does it have the Short Trigger or Short Reset Trigger? The Short Reset Trigger is real nice. It makes follow up shots faster and easier.

Although i love my sp2022, the p229 has a better value, go with the p229.

I would advise you to rent each gun or.get a feel for how each feel in your hands. I'd say that would be your best bet

Does the Sig Pro grips fit the 229?

No, I'm pretty sure you can get e2 grips for 229 that are pretty close to sp2022 grip

I don't like buying used weapons since you never know what they have been put thru. As an example I purchased a complete AR from some guy here who ground the Fire Control Group to the point the trigger wouldn't reset after firing . The only way to find this out was to hand cycle the Hammer with the weapon broken in half or live fire it. Took me a week till I figured out the trigger wasn't put in wrong.
