Congratulations.
I haave the FNP-9. FNP series are excellent, underrated, eats all ammo, and are very accurate. You will be more than happy with your purchase.
Notice I switched the mag release to the right.

(FYI Canon powershot a490 automatically focuses on the front sight-- very intuitive!)

FNP > FNX, read online.
Guns are extremely accurate. Puts clusters at 7 yards.
Get the trigger job by Bill Springfield. He also tightens up the slide-barrel lockup. Accurization not totally necessary, but he only charges $40. I got both done and it ran me $108 total shipped and turnaround time was 1 week from leaving my doorstep to back on my doorstep. Trigger feels great now, no creep at all in SA and DA is lighter.
First time out with the gun I put 4 shots into 3/4 inch at 7 yards, pulled the last shot. Since then I have gotten a bit better, even shooting hot JHPs I can group around 1" at 7 yards which is good for me. Mechanical accuracy is much higher than I can achieve.
Great underrated gun, real sleeper hit. Glock reliability, 1911 accuracy, all for about $400.sigpicComment

I don't care how good the FN is, you are still gonna have trouble getting it to fire those 12 gauge shells...

What kind of government do you guys got here? This is worse than California.

Some news for all of you interested in the FNP. Targetmasters in Milpitas has them for rent (9mm & .40). Their selling price is $500. Can't remember ever seeing FN's for rent anywhere before so if your in the SF bay area and are interested in trying one before buying, hold your nose and head for stinky Milpitas!NRA & CRPA member

using the glock 20/21 holster. all i had to do was remove the plastic piece under the tension screw (think its called a rail spring? or something like that) and it fits wonderfully. very secure, and no wiggle at all. the holster is about 1 full inch longer than the barrel but otherwise a great fit-- this doesn't seem to affect it in any way. haven't worn it around on duty yet but it doesn't appear to be too top heavy or anything."The power under the Constitution will always be in the people.
