    Pistol cleaning information/ grips

When cleaing pistols after shooting, revolver or auto, is it best to remove grips or leave then on. Most of my grips are Pachmayr or factory plastic. Does the solvent and oils damage in the long run? I have left them on for most of the time in the past. Thank you in advance
Lead will be worth more than silver and gold when they are giving it away free !

I don't take grips off any of my guns for cleaning, unless I'm doing a serious deep cleaning. Most solvents shouldn't cause problems, but then again you never know. If you are using/slopping around enough cleaning solvent to get under and /or saturate the grips, you are either using way too much or being way too sloppy.
