    Glock upgrades - H.R.E.D.

I'm thinking of upgrading my G17 with a few things like an improved trigger or reliability enhancements.

Just put in the Scherer connector and am thinking aobut this.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this Extractor Depressor?

My Glock's already pretty solid, but since i can't get any more toys, this may be a way to improve on what i've already got.

    Thanks

You don't need that. The only mods I make to my competition Glocks are the 3.5 lb connector and a G21(large frame) magazine release button, sticks about 0.04" more, and costs about $3. Next up would be sights, Dawson Precision or Heines. Then just keep shooting it, I have my oldest G17 coming up on 100,000 rounds.

If you get beyond those mods, then a gunsmith fitted (not drop in) barrel and a competition trigger is the way to go, Vogel or GlockWorx.

My experience being a Glock armorer for years: The more non Glock parts you add, the less reliable it becomes.

I would mirror what g force is presenting.
Glocks have a wonderful reputation for being extremely reliable in stock form.
I have never had an issue with reliability and extraction with any of my Glocks with the stock parts installed.
It is my own opinion you want to improve your Glock, get rid of those horrible HUGE stock sights, and consider some Warrens on it. Without a doubt, that mod will improve your ability to enjoy accuracy.
All four of my own have seen this addition. I even rid myself of night sights in favor of the Warrens.... The shizznit...

            uh..................................no.....

Glock upgrades: (for a stock carry weapon)

            1. Sights (especially for my eyes) Perhaps night sights.

            2. A Glock 34 slide release lever. (a stock glock part)

            3. Perhaps a 4.5 trigger. However the normal trigger can be mastered.

            That's it.

none of the other crap is worth it.

            Be well

Don't mess with your 17 man even a 3.5lb connector is retarded IMO all I would upgrade are the sights maybe the mag release and of course stipple the frame. Get more magazines a holster some ammo or some training.
