    Springfield 9mm 1911 mags

I just picked up a Springfield 1911 9mm and it came with a 1911 Loaded Coupon.
With the coupon I can buy (pi6090) 9mm 9 round single stack Magazines, stainless steel for $15 each plus shipping.
Should I buy these mags or another brand????

Most definitely worth $15 per mag.

They limit you 10 of each
Pick up some .45's magazines also (if you have the need).

      They are metalform magazines.

The Metalform Springfield mags along with the Tripp mags are the ones to use in 1911 9mms. That's an excellent price.

It depends on what you're using the gun for? If it's competition in single stack, I'd get a few of the 9 rounders because they are cheap and reliable, then I'd order a bunch of 10 rounders

The magazines are the only things that bother me about the 9mm 1911's. Have you ever tried to download a full magazine? Its a pain. If you plan on using it for IDPA, then I would use the 9 round mags. Otherwise I would use the 10 round mags.

I had a Custom Shop 9mm springer until recently. I had two of the factory 9mm 1911 9 rounders. They hold 1 les sthan other 9mm mags. And, they are harder to load, IMHO.

Best mags are Tripp Cobra 9mm mags. 10 rounds. Work great. But they are also like $34.95 each.

For $15 each, it's worth buying a few I suppose. Isn't the shipping kinda high, though? Like $10? I forget...

The Tripp mags are the only 1911 mags I will buy anymore

Another vote for Tripp Research magazines. They hold one more round, they are easy to disassemble for cleaning and they come with a "bumper pad", the Springfield/Metalform mags are drilled and tapped for a pad...but you have to buy them.

Can you use 10 round magazines in this gun if you use it for IDPA?

+1 to the Tripp Cobra Mags. Got two of them for ~$75 (ouch). I don't think $15 for metalform mags is that great. I would only get them if you REALLY needed them now.

I know that CDNN does sales on magazines and I've seen them sell metalform 9mm mags for $9.99 (limit 3, but get some of your friends to buy some for you!). Unfortunately, I haven't seen them put the 9mm mags on sale in the past few months. They probably sold a bunch from that one time I did see them do it. I see them selling metalform .38 mags for $8. I bought a few and they seem to work fine. I haven't had any extensive range time with them and I would probably only limit them to the range.

Really???? You cannot remove bottom plate of the magazine to clean the mags that came with the pistol. The bottoms are welded on. Even though they are only $15 I will have to pass.
