Honestly, I have a hard time having more than one .45 already (glock 21 & 1911). I bought the glock first, but then the 1911 is so much different. So that's sort of OK. I would be hard pressed to have more than one of something like a 1911. I would rather spend the money to have an incredibly awesome fully custom 1911. I mean, you can only shoot one at a time anyway, so if you had 2...which would you shoot? If you liked one better than the other, then why have the other one?

Having $106k worth of 1911s seems nuts. WHy not have an incredible $6000 1911 and then use the 100k for something else?

            But that's just me.

^ that's what i was thinking. he has many low-end 1911s, he should just have gotten 16 custom 1911s for $6,000 a piece if he has gonna spend that money.

At least he ordered a SVI Infinity. Having over 100K of basically just one gun (none collectible) is just ridiculous. But it is his money, so who cares.

And this is not any kind of -ism. Probably some kind of disorder actually.

I guess he's a collector and has the money to do it. And when I think about it, a custom hot rod/ classic car runs into the tens of thousands.

I'm just wondering (but too lazy to figure it out) how much it would cost to own every Glock model built? There are approxiamately 50 Glock models out there, average about $500 a piece so $25,000? (Then add DROS for $1250 LOL!)

All I gotta say is 1911 fever is expensive! I'll stick with my cheapo 1911 and enjoy it for what it is...something that is held back by my skill and not vice versa.

He's a definitely a collector. When you make a lot of money, you can buy whatever you want, then why not.

If I ever get to where I want, I want to have a car collection as amazing as Ralph Lauren's or Jay Leno's, a collection of firearms new and antique, and rare books from all the world.

He has quite a collection and the review of all his owned weapons was well done!

He does have 5, but why not have them all be customs for that money.

It'd be like owning 50 cars, 20 of which are civics, with 5 lambos and 20 mercedes. might as well make them all high end.
