the 3.8 isnt a sub. The standard XD compact is 4"...not much difference.


Just knoticed that it IS a 9 round mag. Odd, thought they were sticking with the .45 to fit standard mags across there line.

I believe he wants the shorter grip. I think the XDm compacts are a homerun. You get the option of the short grip or full size with the full size mag and mag grip along with a near 4 inch barrel.

I like my XD9 sub-compact, but I would trade it for a XDm compact in a heartbeat.

the XDm's are very nice, an improvement over the XD IMO. I now have a XD9 4, XDM9 4.5 and XDm9 5.25. but yes they cost more the XD is a great gun for the money. the XDM is better for more money.

NICE they finally came out with a Xdm 45 compact.
The XD45 Compact is actually pretty good and I believe the same size? No need to SSE it either!

Dont you lose the umfph the .45 acp round offers when going shorter barrel of less than 4 inches?
