Help me choose my Black Friday gun...

It's a tradition that I buy at least one gun every black Friday. This year it will be one of these two. I'm very impressed with Ruger's LCx series.

The gun will be used for range plinking and just another addition to my collection.

I load for both so ammo is not a concern.

Which one do you like better?

I voted LCR. I got the .38 model with the Big Dot front sight. It came with the boot grips with I use for carry. I got the regular Houge grips to use at the range. I love the action. I've owned several Smith J-frames since the 80's and the LCR's action is light years ahead of any of them as they came from the factory. I went with a PM9 for my pocket 9mm needs.

If I wanted a plinker I would want something other than a subcompact carry sized

Unless it is for carry, why go small?

I have a thing for small guns. I really enjoy the challenge in shooting them. I feel like they make me a better shooter, so when I do shoot something bigger it's easier.

Also, I think Ruger has a nice lineup with their LC guns and would like to maybe get them all.

              Reason enough

              Well the decision is
              pistol or revolver
              Which do you prefer?

LCR in 38 I think would be more fun at the range.

I'm pretty set in the 38spl version just because I already have a S&W Model 60 which is a very tiny 357. But it's way too heavy to pocket carry. Plus I end up only shooting 38spl's out of it anyway.

So if I do get the LCR, it would probably be the 38spl version.

I do like auto's better, but I already have so many. Another revolver in the safe would be nice. I only have 3 right now and at least a dozen auto's.
