    First attempt B-27 Target , w/ Glock 17

    will standard Glock sights suffice?

or do you recommend aftermarket sights?

Glock sights are fine. Shooting old green are you?

Glock sights are very good for shooting, but the front sight is not very durable and mine always eventually pop off or break. I always replace the front sight with a metal one that mimicks the factory sight; never had a problem with the rear sight and rarely replace it.

It depends on how precise you want to be, and the stock Glock sights are not. Try the Dawson fiber optic ones, most often used in competition.

I prefer the TruGlo TFOs. Night sights that are super bright during the day too.
