    Bargain FNP

Today I walked out of the gun shop 1 FNP-40 richer! And now I begin the long wait while my new piece serves out it's 10-day sentence. And it didn't even do anything wrong... it's innocent, I swear!

Managed to get my slick mitts on it for only $450! BNIB with 3 mags and an interchangeable backstrap. Since the FNP is being discontinued, they were giving them away at a great price. It's a deal I couldn't pass up.. even as much as I want to finish my AR! I spent hours reading the reviews on here, and they seemed to be overwhelmingly positive. I only got to dry fire it at the store, but it felt amazing. Didn't want to drive all the way to Milpitas to shoot one, so I was relying on those reviews. Thanks CGN'ers!

If anyone is interested, and near the Bay Area, there is 1 FNP-9 left at the same price. Triple A's Sporting Goods in Vallejo. Can't say enough good things about them!

FYI: Holsters for this weapon are very difficult to find. There are a few leather holsters I saw but I'm not a fan. Safariland has it in the 6287 concealment model if that's what you need. And they can make it special order if you want the 6280 duty holster or the *freaking awesome* 6360 (best duty holster out there IMO, but costs ~ $130). I also found out that the Blackhawk Serpa holster for Glock 21 will accommodate the FNP9/40 if you loosen the tension screw, which will be my choice.

This will be my 2nd handgun, and will replace for most purposes my Bersa Thunder 9mm compact (which I love and will never sell!)

    So excited!

Those FNPs are pretty cool guns, my roommate has one in 9mm and even I like to shoot it. He says watch out for the magazines though, 50 bucks per is what he had to pay for an extra one.

I got the black on black. They had the two-tone but they were selling it for regular price. They only have the $450 deal on one black on black 9mm and one 40s&w.

I looked at the raven concealment and the bladetech but neither of them fit my needs personally.. I need a duty-style holster for my work as an armed guard, and something with a bit more retention than those ones offered. I would prefer the safariland with the thumb-break hood but its more than I want to spend, so I'm going with the Serpa. I just get very nervous about gun retention while walking through large crowds with a gun on my hip, so I want something that makes me feel comfortable enough that I would have time to react if someone tried to snatch it.

The Bersa is awesome.. its very underrated in my opinion. Lots of people hate on it just because they've never heard of it. But they just don't know any better! I've put a few thousand down the pipe and I am very comfortable with it. Would trust my life to it any day! Unfortunately, its no longer on the roster. (Meaning it would explode if dropped). I saw a nice one on the CGN marketplace a while back from a guy in Orange county. Don't know if he still has it for sale but I have his name in my PM's if you're interested in asking.

Edit: Just found the posting, it was sold already.

I own the black one too and it was also a huge bargain from Bud's Gun Shop. Ahh, I gotcha. I'm just a civi so I don't want any straps, just want to draw quickly. Damn, that's a shame the 9mm is not on the roster. Bersa's look so nice haha I just wasn't interested in .380, though. How many rounds does your gun hold?

Turns out the online shop that I bought my FNP-9 magazines from also offer the FNP-40 magazines at the same, great price. Buy a lot! :

Buds and I think Jetguns has them for $389.00, and no they wont cock and lock on the FNP, not sure about the FNP USG or the FNX versions.

I'm not a fan of the FNP nor the poly holsters but a friend is, the pistol to holster fit on the gun & Blackhawk is excellent. Drops in, no wiggle or slop - it's almost like the holster is magnetic and the gun sort of "jumps into" the set position.

FNP is de-cock only. fNnP USG & FNX are both the safety & decock. Haha I didnt want to spend money but $13 mags are a must. Ill probably order 3 or 4 more on payday s well
