1911 armorer classes

I know how to take apart my 1911, clean it, take the barrel out, spring, disassemble/reassemble firing pin and blah blah blah. Thats the easy part. Ultimately I want to start gaining knowledge on the frame. From Taking the trigger out, mainspring housing, taking out the hammer, removing the extractor and so on and so forth. I believe when you buy a weapon, you should know it inside and out. You become a part of it and when something goes wrong you can diagnose it on the spot. Is there anyone out there that is a knowledgeable 1911 armorer? If so, please PM me regarding classes. thanks

Weird how people are different with similar things. When I first bought a 1911, the first day home I took it completely down, but would not for the life of me breakdown the slide completely. Everything in the frame, no problem, but the firing pin area makes me want to leave it to someone more knowledgeable.

Expensive!!! on amazon but if you can find it cheaper somewhere it is worth having IMO.

Dynamic Training Concepts does Armorer classes when there is enough demand. Recently they held both a Springfield XD and a 1911 Armorer class. You should give them a call.

search youtube. i find it easier to disassemble and reassemble when watching someone else do it. the 1911 stuff is abundant and easy to find... hour or two watching youtube vids and i can fully disassemble and reassemble every weapon i own...
