    Springfield XD Essentials - $399

Just a heads up. If you missed the Turner's sale, Ammo Bros. has the XD Essential kit for $399 until 11/13

The more I see their ad the more I feel I got ripped off. The cheapest in Northern California is $450 for the essential.

Yup, $450 is the average price in NorCal. We need a Turners up here.

Did you buy it recently? If so you can still get the 3 free mags... That's a rebate from Springfield.

I got my 4" 9mm before any of these stellar deals came around... Paid around $500 before fees for the full gear pack. 2 mags only.

I'm still not sad or mad about it, definitely don't feel ripped off because I've owned an amazing pistol for 2 years already. Spent more than the guns worth in ammo, easy.

When Turners started doing the deals for $399 + the mag rebate. I was amazed at the price (but the mag rebate was the deal), so I bought another one, 3" 9mm SC as a backup pistol.

Ya, I was refering to VL, you got ur post in before I did. =)

I was originally looking at Glocks, but when the XD deal came across, I said I'll try it. I found out I love the grip angle and think at even $100 more it is still worth it.

There's a few Bay Area dealers through gun genie that sell it close to the Socal price, namely in the Santa Cruz area.

I'll probably end up getting mine online since the cost savings isn't worth the drive out there and my FFL is only 5 mins from my work.

                  +1

I went to the store with the idea of getting a G19, but at the same price, it was a tossup to me. I literally had the G19 and XD9 4" on the counter in front of me with the same price tag on them, and spent 30 min trying to make up my mind. I didn't get the XD on price, I got it because the gun fit my hand very well, and the grip angle was a little more natural for me to point.

I see this cheaper pricing and mag rebate as a marketing strat from SA to gain more market share over Glock & M&P. I see people at Turners buying the XD solely based on price. Few friends of mine went with the XD just because of price & mag deal.

I picked the XD because it fit me well, so even if the pistol cost more than what I paid I would have probably got it anyways. Liked it so much I got another one when the $399 deals came around.

Really? I tried looking all over norcal. The prices were all similar.

Yes, this is the tipping point for few of my friends that are deciding between a Glock and XD. I went out and get one myself just because of the price and mag rebate.

Not everyone in Socal sells them cheap! I've recently seen XD kits "on sale" for over $500.

Socal at least got Turners. Norcal relies on mom and pop shops. No chain stores here.

Its a pro and a con tho... Turners being like the Walmart of guns, really makes it hard for the smaller shops to survive. They just cant buy the types of volume and offer the same types of discounts to survive.

My local range/gun store is a non-chain Private owned business. Sometimes its not always about price for me, saving a few bucks sometimes on something like a handgun purchase vs supporting a local business that's always been good to me and given excellent service is sometimes worth it, especially if I had to go out of my way to get it. Ive bought stuff from my range store even tho I could probably find it cheaper online or at Turners. Why, because if everyone decided to just go for the cheapest price, I would probably loose my favorite place to shoot.

Assuming you did get the mag rebate deal, you paid $50 more... Thats like one decent healthy range trip, maybe 2... I shoot a lot, so most of the time, the cost of the gun isnt the expencive part, using it is.

Great deal for a BOB gun.
