Threaded barrel question.
I know it is illegal in california to have a threaded barrel on a pistol. But is it illegal to own but not install? And if you did install it, can you permanently affix a break on it? Via cold solder or pin it. Thank you for your time.

You can also legally have a threaded barrel on handguns that are not semi-auto pistols that accept detachable magazines.
