Proof of Residency - will these work?

Hi everyone, I'll be driving a few hundred miles to do a handgun transfer in a few weeks and I wanted to confirm the documents I have will work. I've read through Tenpercent's flowchart but it's been a few years since I've made a purchase and my situation has changed, so I wanted to check before I made the drive.

My drivers license has my old address, so I plan on bringing:
-Mil ID (no address, can use for ID)
-CA DL (old address)
-Ham Radio License (new address) (Fed issued w/ exp. date, has worked before)
-Notarized Rental Agreement (new address)

If I interpreted the rules correctly, that should satisfy the requirements, right? Thanks.

The bigger issue is whether the business doing the transfer will accept it - why not call them?

My $0.02 -- go to the DMV and have them print out a form that says you now reside at your new address. This way it will match your rental agreement. You don't have to get a number and wait to be called, you just go to the front desk where you check in and they will be able to print that out for you there. In and out. Last time I sold a firearm the guy had to do this because his DL didn't have his current address. It took literally 10 minutes to walk across the street to the DMV, get the printout, and return.

The DMV has address change cards that you carry around until you get your updated DL. Worked for me, but make sure it's stamped by them.

I went in to the DMV yesterday to get a copy of my driving record so I could use it for address verification.

It is my understanding that the notarized lease agreement would work if your 4473 matched your DL, but I don't think it works otherwise (at least not at Island View Ent.).

Their list of acceptable documents includes:

Car Registration
City issued utility bill
Tax Return
CCW
DMV print out of driving record

I think the point is that is has to be government issued when the 4473 and DL addresses don't match. Hope that helps!
