    Damn XD9 sub compact!

I didn't really have a need or want for the XD. The thought of owning one was not on my list. Though I could not pass up the $399 Turner's sale with the extra mags from SA. I figured worst case I sell it here if I am not happy. So I finally got to give it a run at the Monthly CGN LA County shoot. Lets just say...Wow I am impressed. It is my first sub compact and it fits my hand quite well. My normal go to 9mm is a M9, so my hands are used to a large grip. Trigger was not bad, I have 1911 with a worse trigger! It can use some improvement.

Here is a few mags at about 15 yards. Overall I am quite happy with my $399 non Glock. It has a solid but manageable recoil. I actually got to shoot the 4" and 5" XD 9 and preferred the recoil of my subbie. Easy to regain a good sight picture for followup shots. Looks like this will be a good CCW weapon. I need to get some night sights on. I am thinking serious about sending it to Robar for night sights and a coating of NP3 on the slide.

Finish is pretty solid on it already.

Love the XD's, the subs shoot like a fullsize, much more so then the glocks ( at least to me )

I have small hands and my XD 40 is comfortable and I can shoot it ok, but I really wanted an XDM or a smaller frame that did the same thing for me and had that automatic aiming feel of ergo.

I love to hear a good story about a happy gun owner who finds a special gun.

          Don't ever sell it.
