    Plug for Island View Enterprises

I just wanted to give a free plug to Island View Enterprises in Ventura. I stopped in their small shop today, and to my surprise they had an RIA 2011 Tactical in their display case - which as we all know is off-roster. When I asked about it, they said that they had started doing SSEs and they were going to continue doing them for off-roster guns. On a side note, they had a nice little selection of 1911s from RIA & Springfield Armory, as well as 1 Sig & 1 Colt Commander.

I am in no way associated with them - but they do advertise in the Calguns commercial forum - and I think they deserve an atta-boy for embracing the SSE process to help us get the guns we really want - not just the ones the CA DOJ reluctantly gives us permission to own. So, here ya go...

If Island View reads this - I also apologize for being so ham-fisted while handling the RIA 2011. I think I was so shocked to actually be able to handle one, that I lost my ability to think clearly!

I say thank God for government waste. If government is doing bad things, it's only the waste that prevents the harm from being greater.

What kind of government do you guys got here? This is worse than California.

I second this plug: fantastic sales team. Dealt with me and my specific gun orders. I have yet to find a place that can beat them on price.

I stopped by last weekend to take advantage of their sale pricing on Glocks. In my eyes this shop is unique in that it has excellent customer service AS WELL as great pricing (or maybe everything seems that way outside of Santa Barbara...).

I'm an hour or so away but I'll definitely make Island View my go-to shop, especially once their range opens up.

Bought my XD40 from them and yes they are excellent with their customer service and I would highly recommend them to anyone in Ventura are for their gun purchases. I will give them my business for future purchases.

I just bought a GSG 1911 from them. Very easy to dealt with price that are very competitive with internet stores. Got it for $359 and it was on sale at turners for $349 this week. Another store local to me is selling for $495.

Not yet. The guy there said that it's still under review by the city council. Maybe before the end of the year. Who knows.
