S&W Sigma SW40VE jamming issues

Thanks all for the info, but I was incorrect (yet again) on the problem. Bare with me, it is my roomie relating info.

The problem actually is FTE, only happens in the first five rounds. The casing stays in the breach (2/3 in, 1/3 out). He has been running Win .40 full jacket when it happens.

I can't think of a reason you'd only have an FTE in the first five rounds but not later.

Best bet is try different ammunition and see if the problem persists. Also double check the guide rod and spring. Damage to that cheap polymer guide rod can be fairly easy to cause, fairly hard to notice, and can cause all sorts of issues with the gun operating cleanly. I never had a problem with mine, but I know people who have.

It might also be the ejector. There was a thread here not long ago where someone was having some substantial problems with their Sigma's ejector.

I'd start with the ammo however.
