I just bought a 19... I hated Glocks and was an XD guy, rented a 19 at the range and LOVED IT, so much the next day bought one. However, a few months prior i shot a G17 and i didnt care for it at all. JMO

Maybe you can do what I did, I bought a Lone Wolf conversion barrel for both my .40 Cal Glocks, 23-22 just this week end I took a Defensive Firearms Training course at DFT in Coarsegold for 3 days, I fired about 1,000 rds. In one and hundreds in the other no problems at all. Dude it’s a Glock

17 if you can't carry, 19 if you can't. No need to compromise if you can't carry.

G34 if you're not concerned about concealment.

G17 has been kinda pointless ever since the 34 came out. The 17 is usually too big to be a worthwhile CCW piece, and there's no reason to settle for 2nd best if it's not a concealment gun.

          this!

I have the 19 and I absolutely love it, but I plan to carry with it. As a service type pistol which you would not carry I would go with the 17 but ultimately you should go with what feels best.

Get the one that feels most comfortable for you. I like the 19 while the wife likes the 17. Her hands are smaller than mine.

I have five Glocks including the 17 and 19 but you answered the question yourself; accuracy over ccw. The 17 without question. There's no arguing the benefit from the longer sight radius.

G17 all the way. The thinner backstraps in the G17 Gen4 make it even more perfect.

As others and you have said rent both! See which one you like better. I myself prefer the 19 because I have smaller hands and they fit better on the 19 frame. But I have no problem with the G22 which is the .40 equivalent of the G17. I just prefer the 19.
