      No. I searched around the internet and matched the serial number roughly to others that had been dated.

                          Nice gun! And it's mighty nice to see a real gun (i.e., a revolver) in with the auto crowd. I would take a closer look at S&W classics (breathes there a man with soul so dead, who never to himself hath said, 'Damn, but I want a M29!'), but with that comma in the price, it's way out of my league. My 63 and 610 will have to do.
