    Beretta 92G

Just picked up a LNIB 92G Beretta 9mm.

Does not have a safety. I was looking for a long time for one and did not want a beat up police return.

The gun shoots like a dream! ( like all my 92's).

Would not mind to get another LNIB 92G

Yup. Beretta makes a very nice DA/SA and in some cases DA only pistol. I had a very heavily used Beretta 96 .40. It had holster wear all over it, but it ran like butter and was a tack driver at 25 yards. I haven't tried a DA model of the 92's in a long time, to long of a trigger for me but there very reliable and decent guns. Good find.

The G is the one DA/SA but no safety. I called my LE distributor. They said that LE wanted a pistol that You could not engage safety buy accident while reloading. I own two 92FS pistols and several times DID engage safety while changing magazines.

Oh I forgot, I thought you said it was the DA only model my bad. The G model is way better than the safety model.

I managed to get a lightly used one back in the late 90's from a police trade in batch. I agree, its my favorite 92 model.

            Congratulations, nice find.

It seems that most people who want a G model are happy to find one with holster wear and signs of use, so LNIB is a prize.

My recollection is that Beretta would (still will?) only sell the G model to the LEO market. Too bad, since while I have no complaints about the FS I, like many, would prefer the G.

The biggest issue with FS , is many people put it on safe while changing magazines. I have done it...... more than once.

By the way , my agency DOES NOT let us use manual safety on ANY pistol. Per policy.

Anyone ever swap the slide for a 92G into a 92FS?

I was watching a youtube vid on removing the firing pin between the 92G & 92FS model. I couldn't help notice that the G seem to have a removable dovetail front sight.
