    Smith & Wesson E-Series, and Model 586

Today I was able to shoot a brand new Smith & Wesson E-Sereis .45, what a nice pistol. The weight was good, low recoil, and very comfortable. I wish it was mine! I also shot a Model 586 .357, 4" revolver that I picked up on a trade. Goes without saying, it shot great as well. It was a good morning in my book!

The 586 is one of the best revolvers ever.

I'm about to send mine in for the recall. It's a no dash. I just got the paperwork in the mail yesterday to send it in. I hope I get it back quickly.

I have a flat black one. Sort of rare. They were made for police from what I hear.

Ah, the E series. Unless you do an SSE, we in California will have to admire from afar.

Isn't that the truth. A 1911 should always make the list as a memorial to the brave soldiers who died with a 1911 strapped to their hip while fighting for our freedoms. Without their sacrifices, we would probably have a different flag than what we look at today.

In my universe, the anti-gun crowd would have to pay to have a gun tested to prove it was NOT safe. What happened to the capitalist belief in the Invisible Hand??? I miss Milton Friedman!

Thanks guys. I bought it form a coworker who inherited it about a year ago. At first I thought it had been refinished, but then I found out about flat blacks ones being made for certain police departments.

I certainly don't mind a blued or stainless revolver, but the flat black is unique. And a bit tactical as well.

Plus, my coworker sold it to me for $450, and it is in excellent condition. Hardly been shot at all. Super tight lock up.
