    Barry's Samurai Edge

It is just an approximation of Barry Burton's Samurai Edge. It is mainly a DIY project to use as much drop-in parts as possible. The recent post on the Resident Evils Samurai Edge build sparked my childhood fantasy. One of the main reason I bought the 92FS.

Only selective cosmetic looks were incorporated. And it is based on a 92FS not 96. And it does not have a happy switch.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a heavy slide in the future to round it off.

Not an RE fan but looks like a fun project.

It was enjoyable. Except my drop-in parts did not really drop-in.

Spent hours blending in the mag well, and building the full rail. Inserting the RE emblem in the grip was bit challenging too. Had to figure out a way to inlet the Hogue panel. The easiest was the SGS compensator (took but 2 min to install) and the 96D spring and hammer.

So is there a RE Glock?

        Look cool!
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

That looks pretty cool. Good work.

With all do respect, what is the fascination with that franchise? I've seen a ton of modified "RE" Berettas of late. And to be honest, most aren't as unique as yours. Most seem to just be a black 92 with a stainless barrel and trigger, then a busy-looking grip with a medallion. What's the lore?

It's like asking why people collect things, and women like shoes, hard to explain.

For me, I enjoy putting it together

I'm a fan of RE too, and that is very well done.

No, no...please don't misinterpret my question for picking on your interests. To the contrary, because I think your gun looks way better than the other replicas I've seen.

I was just simply curious what general aspects of that series are drawing people in?

No worries. Just saying hard to know why people like things. Didn't read it any other way. If you have not seem the RE series, check them out

Sombody needs to do the gun from Equilibrium next. The Kata. Just don't forget the deployable studs to the magazine base and the full auto selector. Hollywood loves to add all kinds of stuff to the 92FS.

Awesome. Where did you get the medallion and how did you get it flush with the grip? Just dremel and glue? Did you have to bend the medallion?

I'm sooo tempted to build a RE Ar15 from one of my 80% lowers, right after I build a "V for Vendetta" Ar15.
