1911 compact grip fit question...

does anyone know if the pachmayr american legen wood/ rubber grips will fit the colt 1991a1 compact? it says they fit the commander size, but im not sure if the colt is commander size, or has a shorter grip area? if they do not, can anyone point me in the direction of some grips just like the pachmayr's that will fit the 1991a1 compact? thanks!

the grips on my colt 1991a1 compact are the same size as the Officer's model.

awsome, thanks. i really like the wood grip panels with the wrap around finger groove rubber front section.

the commander size will be too big for compact.

FYI: Commander and Government have the same grip size. However, the compacts (Officer's ACP model, Defender and the New Agent) have smaller size than Commander/Government models.
