small 10mm 1911s?

So i did search and did not get any results, on this site or google.

So Im just curious as to whether or not there is such a thing as a defender sized 10mm 1911, or at least a 3 inch barreled 1911 because I am unsure of the dimension differences that come with a 10mm 1911.. I'm only really curious about this because I have seen only a few 10mm 1911s which were full size or had the long slide and then the Glock 20 which is full sized, but then the glock 29 is all small and so I just wondered if there was a small 3" 10mm 1911, because I think that would be awesome to have the 10mm in a package the size of the glock 29 but heavier, just because I like my guns to have a heaviness to them, but more for the cool factor.

You could go with an EAA Witness compact in 10mm (and you can also get other barrels/springs/magazines and switch between more calibers).

Dan Wesson used to make a 4" 10mm. I've never seen a 3", but I would certainly be interested if you find one.

I've got a full size kimber eclipse in 10mm. The only small 10mm I've seen have been mentioned: The EAA and glock 29.

Speaking of the DW 4" 10mm.... ran into one on Bud's while killing time. Says it's bobtailed and 4.25" ...doesn't get much nicer than this...

Springfield used to make a small ported 10mm. Its called the Omega and it comes in few differnt sizes.

I'm not sure if a 3" 1911 slide can be made heavy enough to control 10mm. Despite being small in size, the G29 slide is ridiculously thick (where the blocky width comes from - it's 1/4" thick on the sides) and probably heavier than a full size 1911 slide. Even so, I still had to go up to a 21lb recoil spring to get it tuned right for mid level loads.

I wonder if you could slug the slide with heavy metal to bring slide velocity down to something manageable and put a heavy recoil/hammer spring in?

I have a 10mm Bond Derringer - I know it's not a 1911 but with a 3" barrel it's small and a blast, literally.

Colt made a DA/SA gun called the "Double Eagle" back in the 90's, and it was chambered in 10mm and .45acp. I know they had a 'Commander'-sized gun, but I also think they had a lightweight Officer's version as well with a 3.5" barrel.

SV Infinity can build one too, although Brandon does not recommend such caliber on a gun that size.
