    Sig 1911 GSR Platinum

is the Sig GSR Platinum on the roster for CA, it is a GSR so technically it should be ok since GSR is on the roster right?

I believe each gun, identified as a specific part number, has to be submitted for drop testing. As an example the SW PC1911 stainless melonite is approved. The bead blasted stainless is not, even thought they are the same gun except for melonite finish.

BAK is correct, it's down to the finish, SS may have been tested but blued not tested. Here's a link to CA AG's office.

That's so lame. Isn't that discrimination?
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

Of course, but it's California. What did you expect?

Unfortunately handgun finish, unlike skin color, is not a protected category according the the State of California, making it perfectly legal to discriminate against them.

Or orientation... It's protected except for pistols...

You can only get handguns that take it up the pistol grip, but not in front of it.
