    Kimber Bob Tail

I picked up my Kimber Pro CDP II today from the 'Smith. I had an Ed Brown bobtail done to it, and I really like how it turned out. I had it done by Burge at Ole Boy Outdoors here in Bakersfield. I can't wait to put it back in service as my EDC. He did an excellent job of milling, and refinishing the frame as well as the grips. I struggled with this decision for a while but I'm happy I had it done. I tried it in my holster this evening for about an hour...SO much better, and it doesn't print nearly as bad.

That looks like a really nice job! Great looking pistol!

Any detail pictures of the actual Bob by chance?

berge does good stuff. that looks great. ive had him work on a few of my guns. thankfully living in a free state i get to own the factory kimber version of that gun. the super carry pro.
Iam a good shot. At least i think i would be. Iam a good free throw shooter.

Rogue, here a couple of shots of the grip, sorry for the crappy Iphone pics.

Dan, I wish that was PRK "approved". I am really liking this. And Berge did a great job, I'm really pleased. It was there for a few weeks, but it's like I told him...I can wait for it to be done RIGHT, and he came through.

berge does things on his own sweet time. ive never had a problem with that because of the results. a true craftsman works best relaxed. good stuff.

Dan...about 260. That was for the Ed Brown mainspring housing, labor, and the Duracoat. Was it worth it??? For me.. yes. I agree about Ole Boy's employees, I have always been treated like a CUSTOMER there, that's not always the case in some shops, and it comes to mind when I spend money.

thanks for the reply. i would have no problem whatsoever paying $260 for that. it adds a final touch to an already damn fine gun. congrats.

this is my thoughts exactly. I left everything else as it came from Kimber.

That is a great purchase for 260. Seems kind of like bumping up to a super carry at a nice discount, and you can call it your own
