And they are made in Germany instead of Swiss.

SIG-Sauer (Germany) is making two new variations of the P-210 for the civilian market, production seems to be slow and in batches.

          SIG P-210 Legend (MSRP = $2199)

          SIG P-210 Legend Target (MSRP = $2399)

I saw some genuine old-style Swiss surplus P210's for sale recently. I thought it was AIM Surplus that had them; but if it was then they're sold out, cuz they aren't listed anymore. They had like a $2699 price tag on them or thereabouts.

Now I'm going to be laying awake at night trying to figure out where I saw them.

For over $2K you would think it is going to be very well made- but no Swiss cross on it
Too bad Sig didn't produce them in Switzerland.

Wow. Don't know about $2K and change. Nice though. Is it just the limited numbers that make them so expensive?

My guess would be a mixture of name recognition, quality, and numbers. It is a very nice pistol but I would much rather have another good 1911.

Original 210's are fantastic pistols, I recently sold mine to a lucky calgunner.

i mentioned in a recent thread about the P220... that Top Gun Supply had received a shipment of swiss army surplus P210 handguns, and were offering them for sale individually. the price was $2,499.99 each. i believe they sold out rather quickly.
