    How much? sp2022

So after selling my glock 23 a few months ago, Im ready for a new .40. Went window shopping today and got ideas of what I want. Sig has always been on my wish list and was surprised to find one in my price range, 400-500. The gun that I have in mind is the sp2022.

Question is, how much did you pay for yours? pricetag was ~$515. I then called DGM and I believe they said $419, butt not sure as lady on the other end sounded rushed/bothered.

Sounds right to me. The sp2022's are reasonably priced.

      419 is a good price.

You can get them for $399 sometimes on sale.

Sounds like the going rate to me. The price point is really attractive for a Sig.

I was in the market for the .40 but after trying it at the range I think ill save my pennies for a P229 or P226

Some people love it, but it wasnt for me. If you have the option to rent or try before you buy I would jump on it just to make sure you like it. I think the Glock and XDs shoot better than that sig. Just my opinion...

right, but would it be wrong/rude of me to ask shop A to price match to shop B? Iva bought two other handguns at shop A and two ppt. I really do not want to do business with dgm.

I think the $399 sale price was only for the 9mm.

$429 is the sale price ive been seeing for the .40 since it comes with night sights.

Someone correct me if im wrong...

What they quoted you is a good price.

Personally I wouldnt pay more than the sale price for that gun, it only comes with 1 mag and those are also a little spendy.

Nothing wrong in asking... go for it.

Those are the prices I've seen also (SoCal). I did read recently (Sig Forum maybe?) that prices as low as $369 have shown up on the Web (maybe Gun Broker). Don't know how common that is, and $399/$429 seems reasonable to me.

Extra mags can also be hard to find, especially the 40s I think.

ok cool, thanks a lot guys.
One last question though. Would this be fine for armed security duty? How about a level III holster for it.

                        SP2022 in .40

Bought one in Sacramento a little over a month ago for $349 plus tax and DROS - the 9mm was selling for $399. Have taken it out to the range a couple of times and determined it's definitely value for the money.

yeah the .40 goes on sale occassionally for $420ish. Anything in the ~$500 seems too high. If DGM is selling it for 419, since it's a local B&M shop I don't see why the other shop wouldn't price match it. Usually shops won't price match an online price, but they will do a B&M shop.

Mags are cheap, at least the 10rd ones are. Buy them here:
