Has any one had them do a single shoot exemption registration. Good experience or bad. Do you need to purchase the hand gun from them or what do they charge when its shipped in?

You could purchase from them OR have another FFL (who is okay with it) ship to them. If you have it shipped in, you will have to pay for the single shot conversion fee, dros fee, plus applicable taxes.
