Suggestions on quality front strap texturing?

Im picking up a EMP for ccw and am interested in getting some sort of texture/checkering on the front strap, and am wondering who you guys might recommend for quality work with a quick turn around?

    Skateboard grip tape.

It's cheap, it's reasonably durable (can be redone as needed), no turn around time and it works.

Check out Brownells.com and do it yourself

      tool to do it:
Brownells has been serving hunters, shooters, and first responders since 1939 and is one of the most trusted suppliers and manufacturers in the World.

      Pre-made front strap:

EMP has an alloy frame, so doing it yourself still leaves the problem of having the frame re-anodized.

The pre-made front straps get mixed reviews, but there is a very impressive thread on another forum in which someone epoxied one onto --I think it was an AMT Backup--with very nice-looking results.

Not looking to do something myself and/or something cheap and ugly like grip tape. If it was a polymer service pistol that would be fine, but not for something like the emp. Im looking for a professional shop that can do the checkering and anodizing as well.

you can send it to the Springfield shop, they have reasonable prices for machine cut checkering, hand cut checkering will be more expensive, usually they have a quick turnaround if it's something minor like checkering

I wouldn't use the pre cut checkered panels, those things suck...

There's not much need to re-hard coat a front strap.
Your fingers will always be softer than the metal.
I used aluminum black on my home done Buckmark alloy frame.
Warm the metal first, and get the black on it right away after the cutting is done before the surface oxidizes.

Anywhere you send it, you might as well get other work done while you're at it... won't really add to the turnaround time.
