Sig Pro - 40 to 9 conversion?

Hi Guys,

Just curious if anyone would know but I was talking to someone this weekend about my sig and they said that the Sig Pro/2022 can swap back and forth between 40 and 9mm simply by swapping mags and the barrel.

Anyone have any input on this? It doesnt sound quite right to me but I don't know to be honest.

Yes you can do a barrel conversion on your SP2022 .40S&W to 9mm. Not vice versa though. 

I did this to one I used to own and kTC is correct; 40cal to 9mm but not 9mm to 40cal.

Thanks guys! Do I have to buy 9mm mags as well? Also anyone got a good source for the barrel other than Sig directly?

40 mags will work fine.
