    Colt Defender and Ammo issue/question?

I had no problems the other day shooting and ejecting casings.

However I had it in condition 1 and when I dropped the magazine and manually ejected the live round from the chamber it got stuck/jammed just before exit. I'm using some jacketed hollowpoints similar to Federal Hydroshocks.

It took me a minute of manipulation to get the round free and let it drop out.

Is there a round that shouldnt be fed through the Colt Defender or is this an indication of perhaps the extractor not popping around out at the correct angle? Ejection port needs to be enlarged a bit by gunsmith?

I'd like to be able to drop the mag and rack theslide to get the live round from the chamber without a hassle and risk of a ND.

    Ideas?

None of my other pistols exhibit this behavior and give me the rounds willingly.

How new is the gun? If not broken in yet, I would just keep an eye on it until you put more rounds through it, provided you don't get ejection problems when cycling with ammo (as opposed to manually). As far as defensive ammo goes, many brands such as Speer offer short barrel hollow points.
